The search for happiness is universal. Young and old, rich and poor, from Antarctica to the Sahara Desert, and so on, everyone desires happiness. It’s a basic human need, and many millions seek it. And I am no different, and I have a feeling that, since you are now visiting a website named “howtofindhappiness.com”, you, too, are looking for happiness! Well, we are in the right place: this website can help us find happiness.
Since happiness is such a common goal, there are literally thousands of books and websites dedicated to finding it.

Over the years, I have sampled a lot of information on happiness. However, I often found many of the ideas about how to find happiness too gimmicky for my liking, too complicated, or even difficult to understand. After some experimentation with the various ideas and techniques for achieving happiness, I have developed simplified concepts for myself. I find these to be very helpful in my day-to-day life for finding happiness, and I am very pleased to share them with you. These ideas have helped me be a happier person, and I am confident that they can help you too.
Happiness “happens” in the mind. Certain negative ways of thinking can lead to unhappiness. If one is to find happiness, one has to overcome such negative thinking. On this website, I will describe common negative thinking patterns so that you can recognise them when they occur in your mind. I will also share simple psychological tools that can help you to deal with negative thinking.
As mentioned before, the search for happiness is a universal desire of those in the past and present. This has led many people to offer wisdom on happiness, and I will share many of these with you.
In essence, this website will help you recognise and address negative thinking and learn from the wisdom of others. These, together, will help you find happiness.
Before we move on, I must stress that I am not some “guru” living on a spiritual mountain, spewing wisdom.

Nor am I a superstar running workshops for big businesses, nor am I a psychologist. Rather, I am just an ordinary guy looking for happiness and sharing with you things I have found useful along the way. This is not about me “teaching” you anything; rather, I invite you to go alongside me, and together, we can discover how to find happiness.
